Long Bus Short Thoughts podcast Episode 56 Interview with Dustin Warbear, Ace Wild & Elusive Eagle

Voted Wisconsin’s Hip-Hop Artist of the Year in 2022 & 2023, Dustin Warbear is a fierce and determined rapper from central Wisconsin. Known for his unpredictable flow, intricate wordplay, and complex lyricism, he covers a wide range of topics—from political corruption and mental health struggles to laid-back vibes and blazing green. He paints vivid pictures with his words, holding nothing back in his pursuit to speak truth.

Raised in a musically inclined family with multiple musicians on his mother’s side, it’s no surprise that Dustin found his way into music. With years of experience playing instruments and performing in various bands, his passion for music remains unwavering.

His journey into rap began in his early years after discovering a DMX CD, sparking a lifelong interest in hip-hop. Influenced by iconic artists like 2Pac, Eminem, and Tech N9ne, his love for lyrical rap only deepened as he explored more of the genre.

When the pandemic hit, forcing him to step away from his band projects, Dustin turned to writing lyrics as an outlet for his creativity. It was then he realized how deeply he connected with the art of rap and the craft of lyricism.

Now, with a mission to disrupt the industry and revive the essence of “real rap,” Dustin is relentlessly creating and releasing new music every week. He’s also gearing up for future tours, determined to bring lyricism and substance back to the forefront of hip-hop.

The industry may push the same thing over and over, trying to dull down the message, but Dustin Warbear is here to break that mold. Prepare for war.
